Never a dull moment… Always fresh, always exciting, always creative, The Larks infectious and funky groove style is turning the jazz world upside down. The Larks ever evolving passion for music and knowledge produces a vivid live performance that incorporates over 90 years of combined playing experience, sharing the stage with artists such as Horace Silver, Clark Terry, Nicholas Payton, and Keter Betts to name a few. The Larks inventive take on classics from the worlds of jazz, rock, reggae and funk, as well as their skillfully crafted original compositions, challenge seasoned listeners to reconsider their definitions of modern jazz while capturing new audiences every time out, even prompting some to exclaim: "I don't like jazz, but I like these guys!" Over the last four years The Larks have cultivated a vibrant, compelling, and distinctive sound, which, like jazz itself, will continue to expand and refine while entertaining and elevating the mind, body and spirit.
